The Aaon Inc V14970 Contactor 3-Pole 40A is an electromechanical switching part used in commercial equipment to control high-current electrical loads, through a low-voltage control signal. Mounted within the electrical control panel the contactor uses, a 24-volt coil to create a magnetic field that pulls the internal contacts closed when energized. This action allows power to pass through the three poles, to components such as compressors, condenser fan motors and electric heaters. When the control signal is removed, the contacts open and interrupt power flow, enabling the system controls to manage equipment operation and cycling safely.
