The Vollrath / Idea-Medaille VOL644 Tomato Slicer cuts the product into uniform quarter-inch slices by pushing the tomatoes through a fixed blade system that allows the tomatoes to be spaced consistently. It works by pushing the tomato between parallel stainless steel blades with one downward motion which makes even slices without going over and over. The slicer will be placed on a counter or a prep station, but it is attached at the bottom to ensure that it does not move around when in use. This tomato slicer is applicable in commercial kitchens where there is a need to organize the preparation of the produce.
