The Star Mfg Y8832 Burner Valve is installed in a few commercial cooking parts to control the supply of burner gas. It has a 1/8 inch NPT connection and enables the flow of gasses to be controlled to produce a steady amount of flame during cooking. This valve is built into the gas delivery system and it helps in stabilizing and safe appliance operation. It is commonly substituted when repairing or servicing the engine when the original valve is no longer accurate in controlling the gas.
