The Montague 01217-9 Infrared Burner 5" X 18 3/4" is an infrared burner that produces heat by burning gas through a wire mesh screen in the burner unit. It operates by evenly spreading gas in the burner body, where it is ignited to generate radiant heat along the mesh screen. The assembly is linked to the mounting points of the internal gas manifold and burner in the unit. It is applied in commercial foodservice cooking appliances where infrared burners provide concentrated radiant heat to be used in broiling and cooking.
