The Montague 1217-9 Infrared Burner 5" X 18 3/4" is heat generator that produces heat by burning gas spread over the mesh surface of the burner. It operates by directing gas in the burner chamber, whereby combustion along the wire screen generates infrared heat output. This part is fitted in the burner area of compatible commercial broilers, and the burner is attached to the internal frame and to the gas supply manifold of the appliance. It is applied in commercial foodservice cooking equipment, in which infrared burners provide radiant heat used in broiling processes and high-temperature cooking within broiler units.
