The Southbend 1010399 Thermostat that measures the temperature in the oven using its bulb and controls the flow of gas or electricity to keep the temperature at the desired level. The sensing bulb measures 3/16 by 14-3/4 inch and detects temperature fluctuations and transmits a signal to the thermostat mechanism to switch heating on or off as required. It has a 1/2" NPT in/out connections and is made to be installed inside the oven where it can monitor the internal temperatures accurately and regulates the cooking conditions.
