The Traulsen 329-21993-00 Defrost Control works by checking the temperature conditions and activating the defrost cycle on a timed or sensor-controlled basis to clear the ice that has built up on the evaporator components. It receives input signals on sensors in the system and controls compressor and coil operation to ensure proper defrost periods and cycle changes in refrigeration operation and reacts to programmed control logic and relay switching instructions. The control is commonly mounted in commercial refrigeration units close to the evaporator assembly to be connected into the defrost management circuit, mounted in the control compartment to connect to wiring harness connections and system relay.
