The Bunn BU12689-1000 Automatic Brewer Hot Water Coil Kit is an electric heating component designed for compatible coffee brewing equipment. Its resistive coil converts electrical energy into thermal energy, transferring heat to water contained within the brewer’s heating vessel. Positioned in the designated hot water heating area, the assembly operates with the brewer’s thermostat or electronic temperature control to maintain the required water temperature. As power is applied, the coil heats the surrounding water when the control interrupts power, heat generation stops. This controlled heating process prepares water for the brewing circuit and supports consistent hot water availability during normal brewer operation.
