The Garland F810-0617 Coaxial Thermopile is a 36-inch safety sensing element that can be used in compatible gas cooking equipment. It works by producing 250-750 millivolt electrical signal when it is heated by a pilot flame to enable the gas valve to stay open during operation. This type of thermopile is fitted into the pilot assembly and is more often found in commercial ranges, griddles and ovens. Its purpose in the system is to verify the flame and assist in and sustained flow of gas when normal equipment is in operation.
