The Southbend F706A8731 Range Element operates by transforming electrical energy into thermal power by use of an internal resistive heating coil. When the electricity flows through the component, the outer sheath emits a lot of heat to give a stable cooking surface to the cookware. This warming part is mounted horizontally in the unit cavity or under the cooktop surface so that it can be in direct contact with the thermal transfer. The round shape makes it evenly distribute the heat at the bottom of the different pots and pans.
