The Southbend SOUF706A8731 Range Element is an electrical-to-thermal energy converter that uses internal resistive wiring to heat the outer sheath by conduction. This component warms up when excited and releases a lot of energy to the cookware surfaces to ensure uniform boiling, frying, or simmering. This heating unit is mounted right under the cooktop surface and is fixed within the burner box assembly to provide a stable surface for pots and pans. This round coil is the main heat source of compatible commercial appliances, which ensures the part has the thermal output required in kitchen setting.
