The Southbend 3004238 Thermostat D1/D18 3/16 X 13 48" is a capillary-actuated, fluid-expansion temperature controller that is used in a commercial oven control system. It uses a closed sensing bulb that is linked to a 48-inch capillary tube to pass the forces of thermal expansion to a switch mechanism that is driven by a diaphragm. The system adjusts the continuity of electrical to heating components by adjusting contact actuation at set points. It is designed in D1 and D18 configurations to provide tight differential control, fast thermal response, and high repeatability.
