The Garland 2619500 Range Gas Solenoid Valve 3/8" 60Hz works by regulating the flow of gas by using an electrically operated solenoid that opens and closes the valve based on a 24V signal. The coil creates a magnetic field when connected which causes the plunger to move to control the passage of gas and when it goes back to a closed state to stop the flow during gas control cycle. It is installed in gas supply lines of commercial cooking range to control the delivery of fuel to burners and ignition systems in controlled appliance assemblies that need controlled switching of gas.
