The Hobart 8504291 Safety Thermostat is a high-limit temperature control applied to commercial foodservice equipment. It will track the internal operating temperature and will automatically switch off the heating circuit when unsafe temperatures are reached, and preventing the equipment from suffering damage as a result of overheating. It is usually used in systems like commercial appliance units, water heating assemblies where constant thermal control is needed. It is equipped with a 3/8" x 2" sensing bulb and installed in conjunction with primary thermostats and control switches and forms part of the heating control circuit.
