The Garland M8-53 Brass Hood Orifice is intended to be used in commercial charbroilers. It has 3/8"-27 threads, a length of 1/2" and a size of 53 calibration and fits at the burner gas inlet to adjust the flow of fuel. This orifice is used in the kitchen to maintain the intensity of the flame and the uniformity of heat distribution on the cooking surface. The gas system in the charbroiler is used in conjunction with the burner valve and assembly to regulate the combustion to stabilize the performance and predictable cooking outcomes when operating at high volume.
