The Hobart 00-349613-00003 Vacuum Breaker 180F 125 PSI 1/2" NPT works by permitting air to flow into the commercial unit's line. When there is negative pressure to prevent backflow and siphoning in the system. It has an internal check system which reacts to changes in pressure opening to break vacuum conditions and closing when normal pressure is restored. It is normally fitted on water supply lines that are linked to commercial systems and other similar facilities where backflow prevention is needed. The component is to work within the limits of temperature and pressure conditions.
