The Hobart 292909 Vacuum Breaker 180F 125 PSI 1/2" NPT is used to prevent backflow, allowing air to enter commercial units. when the negative pressure happens preventing contaminated water from changing direction. It work by an internal valve system that opens when the vacuum condition is present and closes when the normal pressure is reinstated to ensure that the flow direction is maintained. This component is normally mounted on water supply lines that are linked to kitchen equipment where backflow prevention is needed. It threaded connection enables it to be used in plumbing assemblies.
