The Montague B-40A FDTO Gas Thermostat 3/16 inch x 15-3/16 inch bulb and 3/8 inch FPT connection is a temperature control component that fits into gas cooking equipment. It is installed in the control panel and it is connected to the gas valve, and the sensing bulb is placed in the heated cavity. The thermostat is a component that reacts to the temperature and regulates the amount of gas flowing to keep the temperature between 150F and 550F. Its presence in the system makes it work correctly and replacement assists in restoring correct temperature regulation in case of performance deterioration.
