The Hobart 108379-3 Burner Valve is a control component used in commercial cooking equipment. It has a 1/4" MPT connection and a 1/2" compression fitting through which it controls the flow of gas supplied to the burner assembly during operation. It is placed in the gas distribution line so that an orderly flow of gas can be allowed to facilitate proper ignition and heat production. This type of valve is used regularly in restaurant and other foodservice equipment where regular cooking applications depend on control of the burners for consistent performance of the system.
