The Hobart 880016-00011 Thermostatic Steam Trap 1/2" MPT is a steam system component designed for compatible commercial kitchen equipment. It is installed in the condensate line, where it monitors the temperature of the fluid passing through the piping and regulates condensate discharge automatically. As condensate cools below the operating steam temperature, the internal thermostatic element opens to release it, then closes when steam reaches the trap. The 1/2-inch MPT threaded connection allows installation into the steamer's piping assembly. This component operates within the steam circuit to manage condensate flow while maintaining the operating conditions required for steam heating.
