The Market Forge S90-4003 Steamer Thermostatic Steam Trap 1/2" MPT operates by sensing steam temperature through a thermostatic element that responds to condensate. The internal mechanism opens to discharge condensate and closes when live steam reaches operating conditions, regulating flow through thermal expansion and contraction action within the sensing capsule and valve assembly for continuous cycling response. It is installed in the steam supply and return lines of steamer equipment where condensate must be separated from steam circulation pathways, supporting condensate separation in process steam distribution networks and return piping section systems
