Groen Z003984 Steamer Steam Trap 1/2" MPT operates automatically to remove condensate and non-condensable gases in the steam system without releasing live steam. It works internally to open and close when temperature or pressure changes occur and can be used easily to separate the steam and condensate as the food cooks or the kettle boils. This steam trap is generally placed in the piping of commercial steamers or other cooking equipment where the flow of steam and condensate are required to be controlled. Its small 1/2" MPT connection allows it to be fitted into most typical steam system configurations without making any change to the existing system.
