The Star Mfg 9495 Pilot Safety Valve 1/2" W/3/8" NPT regulates the flow of the gas such that the fuel is only allowed to flow when a stable flame is established. It uses an internal safety system that cuts off the gas supply if the flame is extinguished, preventing uncontrolled gas emission. The valve is fitted in the gas line of the compatible commercial cooking equipment. The assembly has pilot tubing and main gas supply fittings. It is used in gas-operated systems where operation must be controlled to ensure proper ignition and burner operation during cooking.
