The Hobart XNC6X124/346466-9 Contactor 3-Pole W/10/120 V is an electromechanical switching system used in compatible commercial kitchen equipment to switch high-current electrical circuits. It works by activating a control coil which energizes three internal power contacts, enabling current to be passed to appliance parts like motors, heating elements, when activated by the control system of the appliance. This is mounted within the electrical compartment of the equipment, and it is connected to the low-voltage signals to the power circuits.
