The Hobart 00-354784-00002 French Plate Surface Heater is an electric heating element used in commercial cooking equipment. Installed in the range top opening, the 9-inch French plate contains an internal resistance heater rated at 2600 watts and 240 volts that converts electrical energy into conductive cooking heat. The heated cast surface transfers thermal energy directly to cookware placed on the plate while distributing heat across the cooking area. Connected through a four-pin terminal, the heater interfaces with the range wiring, power supply, and temperature control circuit to regulate heat output and support cooking operations on a solid-top electric range.
