The Johnson Controls H15AR-3C Pilot Safety Valve 3/8" regulates the flow of gas to the pilot burner and operate by turning the supply of gas on or off. The thermocouple system is connected to the valve to prevent the flow of gas when the pilot flame is extinguished to assist in the controlled operation of the burner. This element is usually fitted in commercial heating and gas-fired equipment assemblies in the area of the pilot burner and gas control area. It is meant to control the flow of pilot gas during ignition and operating cycle.
