The APW 13805-00 Hi-Limit Safety Thermostat LCH with Manual Reset 450°F is a thermostat that automatically shut off the power when the fryer temperature is too high. It is equipped with a temperature-sensing element that opens the circuit at 450°F and must be reset by hand after tripping to continue operating, and preventing continuous electrical flow until the control is reset and the system is checked for temperature normalization. It is placed in commercial fryer assemblies, near the heating element or control panel section, and usually within the safety circuit pathway to interrupt the heating control when the temperature is above the threshold during operation.
