The Southbend 4-CG42 Contactor 3-Pole 40/50A 208/240V is a type of electrical switch that is used in compatible commercial cooking equipment to regulate power flow to current heating circuits. It reacts to low-voltage signals in the control system of the appliance and, when activated, puts the mains supply in contact with the heating elements. This is a contactor that is placed in the electrical compartment of units in restaurant kitchens and foodservice settings. It is the main interface in the entire electrical system, which allows and disallows the use of heat in normal operation.
