The Legion 420083 Contactor 3-Pole 40/50A 208/240V is an electrical contactor that is used in compatible commercial cooking and heating to provide control over the transfer of current power to heating elements. The control system of the appliance provides the low-voltage control signal to it, and when activated, connects the supply to the heating load. This contactor mounts into the electrical compartment equipment in restaurant kitchens and other foodservice settings. It is the main interface within the electrical system that allows and disallows the application of heat in the normal operation of the electrical system.
